Inverted ("flipped") my classroom and integrated collaborative active learning into my classes in the 1980's well before it became popular. Created the online mathematics program for Clark College and started teaching online in 1999. Wrote, designed, and developed online curriculum for twelve different online mathematics courses including the first ever in the northwest fully online asynchronous Calculus I-II-III for STEM. Mentored online faculty at Clark where (pre-pandemic) our department had taught over 1000 online mathematics classes. Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Outlier as part of team working to upgrade Outlier's premier course, Calculus I. |
Personal Information
Live in southwest WA state on five acres at 2000 feet overlooking the Columbia River with my husband and our Blue Heeler/McNab pal. Proud mum to adult daughter who we home-educated through to university via unique personalized ed-ventures and who had earned AA, AS, BA, and BS degrees by age 21. I'm an eclectic lifelong learner who enjoys science, reading, website design and development, coding, board games, puzzles, photography, hiking, camping, travel, dogs, and family. Vegetarian, H2O addict, avid walker "10K a Day". |
